Polyguard RD-6 is a non-shielding, anti-corrosion coating system engineered to safeguard buried and submerged pipelines from corrosion. Its polymer-modified coating layer, bonded to a tightly woven polypropylene geotextile fabric, provides excellent durability, high tensile strength, and low elongation — ensuring long-term protection without compromising cathodic protection efficiency.
How Does the RD-6 System Work?
The RD-6 Coating System combines three layers of defense:

SP-6 Outerwrap & UV Overcoat for added protection and UV stability above ground.
This system is ideal for buried and submerged pipelines, girth welds, and rehabilitation projects, with compatibility for operations up to 145°F (63°C). For higher temperatures, RD-6 HT is recommended.
